Our story
W Vinten was founded in 1910, incorporated in 1928 and floated on the London Stock Exchange in 1972.
The company changed its name to Vinten Group Limited in 1973 and eventually to Vinten Group plc in 1984.
As a consequenceof the expansion of the Group through various acquisitions during the next ten years, the company was renamed Vitec Group plc in 1995 and eventually to The Vitec Group plc in 2001.

All of our companies are committed to continuous development of their products and Vitec has a long and enviable record of successful new product launches. Vitec’s product businesses spend around 5% of annual sales revenue on research and development, a figure higher than many comparable companies.
Vitec is continually looking to offer new products that form the core of the media creation process. Part of that initiative involves exploring new ideas and products with the global community of inventors, engineers and developers. The Vitec Group management team has extensive experience in crafting licensing and co-development agreements that have brought several new and innovative products to market.
